  • Architettura fascista nell'epoca democratica post-bellica in Italia. Una breve introduzione
    Szerző De Vettor, Luisa
    Füzet Vol. XVII/2016/1-2
    Kategória Artes
    Oldal pp. 7-17
Absztrakt There are hundreds of buildings scattered around in Italy with a certain common trait, the fascist architecture. An architecture which was one of the main propaganda models and ways of communication of a destructive dictatorial regime lead by Benito Mussolini. The purpose of the article is to try to understand the possible legacy of Italian fascist architecture in contemporary culture and society. We will evaluate how much the meanings of these relics have changed since the time of their construction, and how much time has been necessary to look at these Fascist relics with an eye finally detached from their original dramatic relationship with the dictatorial regime.
    Oldal pp. 18-52
Absztrakt Casuistry of a military prisoner in the 18th century varied according to the moral standards of the time, religion, social group and honor. For these reasons we must understand that the future of the captive was not necessarily unhappy and there was a place for humanity. We therefore must also look at those who survived certain actions in combat. We can also witness an evolution of the treatment of prisoners from the beginning of the century to the end of it, motivated by the French Revolution.
    Oldal pp. 55-67
Absztrakt The paper analyzes a part from Dante's Inferno (11.8–9) where the name of Photinus is mentioned as a heretic who misled pope Anastasius. The most famous medieval interpreters of Dante Alighieri and his work, Guido da Pisa and, especially, Giovanni Boccacio put forth an incorrect explanation stating that the Photinus Dante mentions was a deacon of Thessalonica. In reality, the explanation provided by those two lectores Dantis is wrong since it was a fourth-century bishop from Syrmia (Sirmium) who had been condemned as heretic. Even though some translators and later interpreters of Dante noticed this, there has not been a detailed analysis of these verses of Inferno.
    Oldal pp. 68-76
Absztrakt In Carnets de Gilbert (1931), Marcel Arland gives voice again to the hero of L'Ordre, the novel for which he had been awarded the Goncourt Prize two years before. The novel consists of a collection of intimate reflections where Gilbert, alter ego of Arland in his fiction, expresses – in first person this time – the typical pessimism of postwar French youth. The notably enhanced 1944 reedition of the work turns to the same subject but adopts a deeper perspective and a more elaborate discourse. Ultimately, what this evolution shows is that, despite the coincidence in the title, the view of the world in Carnets de Gilbert of 1944 is no longer the character’s but the author’s.
  • Bartolomeo Fonzio and Greek literature
    Szerző Takács, László
    Füzet Vol. XVII/2016/1-2
    Kategória Critica
    Oldal pp. 77-115
Absztrakt After the Ottoman invasion of the territory of the Byzantine Empire and the fall of Constantinople in 1453, many excellent scholars migrated to Europe. Their most important destinations became the Italian cities (Florence, Venice, Ferrara, etc.). During the heyday period of these cities, Humanism, the renaissance of ancient culture, and the cult of antiquity played an important role, and the Italian Renaissance spread to other parts of Europe. After centuries of oblivion in the Latin Middle Ages, the impact of Greek language and literature on the knowledge of humanists was indisputable. Following the increasing interest in Greek antiquity during the Quattrocento, the leading humanists of Italy and France became familiar with ancient Greek culture, while the Byzantine scholars who migrated to Europe studied Latin and the vernacular languages. But this interaction was gradually decreasing as classical Greek works were beginning to be translated into Latin. Additionally, these translations made Greek literary, historical, and philosophical works accessible even to those who had a very limited or no knowledge of Greek. In this paper, I would like to illustrate the complexity of this phenomenon using the example provided by Bartolomeo Fonzio, one of the well-known humanists of the second half of the 15th century. Through his case, I would like to present how the knowledge of Greek became indispensable during the Quattrocento. Also, I intend to prove that earlier views about Fonzio’s Greek need reconsideration.
    Oldal pp. 116-126
Absztrakt The paper analyses Antonio Tabucchi’s last novel, Tristani muore. It argues that in this novel too, Tabucchi leads the reader on the border of reality and imaginaton. We can observe all through the novel the references to visuality, various works of art, photographies. The paper highlights the essence of Tabucci’s writing through the meanings of the verbs vedere ‘see’ and guardare ‘look’.
  • I rapporti magiari di Ferrara nello sguardo di Bernardino Zambotti
    Szerző Szovák, Márton
    Füzet Vol. XVII/2016/1-2
    Kategória Iuvenilia
    Oldal pp. 129-146
Absztrakt The paper discusses the diary of Bernardino Zambotti, published under the title Diario ferrarese dall’anno 1476 sino al 1504, and its references to Hungary. The majority of these accounts dwell on the lives of Queen Beatrice of Aragonia and her relatives, with a special focus on Ippolito d’Este, the Archbishop of Esztergom. In addition to these entries, I also present the adventures of the Hungarian students, who pursued their studies at the University of Ferrara. The diary also mentions diplomats who were sent both by the kings of Hungary and the dukes of Ferrara, as well as prominent events in the Kingdom of Hungary. Among the references to the emissaries delegated to Hungary, there emerges an interesting account, which offers surprising additional information on the pillaging of the cathedral of Székesfehérvár after the death of King Matthias.
  • Intrighi macabri: Alla scoperta dell’accento ungherese nel parlare l’italiano
    Szerző Huszthy, Bálint
    Füzet Vol. XVII/2016/1-2
    Kategória Linguistica
    Oldal pp. 149-194
Absztrakt Hungarians who speak Italian fluently usually commit several pronunciation mistakes. These mistakes go unnoticed, even by native Italians because of the extreme dialectal fragmentation of Italian. However, the recurrent phonetic and phonological features of the Hungarian foreign accent show great differences compared to any Italian varieties. The aim of this paper is to collect and analyse the most common phonetic and phonological characteristics of the foreign accent of Hungarians while speaking Italian, and possibly help them avoid the most obvious mistakes, or, where it is not possible, at least make them realise the Hungarian aspects of their speech that affect their pronunciation of Italian.
    Oldal pp. 195-217
Absztrakt This paper analyzes some structural characteristics of Italian monoalphabetical code books from the 14th and 15th centuries. Usually, each cipher key represents the symbols and the principal rules of a different cipher system. First, we present the general parts of the tables, then we examine these parts in detail collecting their various safety elements. For the evaluation and description of the security system of each code book a scale is presented which has two main aspects: the measures of substitution of the alphabetical letters by ciphers, and the numbers and the nature of the safety elements. In our corpus, in addition to complete cipher keys, there is also a reconstructed cipher obtained by the parsing of coded and decoded texts of Maffeo di Treviglio.
  • La varietà delle parlate ladine
    Szerző Salvi, Giampaolo
    Füzet Vol. XVII/2016/1-2
    Kategória Linguistica
    Oldal pp. 218-256
Absztrakt The article describes the main linguistic features of the Ladin varieties spoken in the Dolomites. After a general introduction and some notes on the external history of these varieties, we give a concise description of Ladin (historical) phonetics and of the nominal and verbal morphology. A more in-depth description is dedicated to syntax in comparison with the neighboring Northern Italian dialects.
